RYAN SPINDELL (Writer / Director / Producer)
Ryan Spindell was raised in a crumbling haunted mansion on the forgotten coast of Maine, so as you can imagine, his social skills are top notch. Ryan’s natural inclination toward the arts, and his obsession with The Twilight Zone led him down the dark and twisted path of creepy storytelling, from which he would never recover. In 2005 Ryan attended the Florida State University Film School, where he almost definitely made eye contact with Barry Jenkins on more than one occasion.
After graduating with his masters in writing and directing, Ryan relocated to Los Angeles where he founded Trapdoor Pictures, a boutique production company that specializes in “fun genre” content for film and television. Over the next several years, Ryan and his team made over a dozen short films and documentaries before shifting into the big leagues. Their first feature film, an insanely ambitious horror anthology called THE MORTUARY COLLECTION, is slated for release this fall. Most recently Ryan wrote and directed an episode of the horror anthology series 50 STATES OF FRIGHT for producer Sam Raimi, and is currently writing two episodes for season two.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys road trips, comics and (of course) horror movies. Ryan does not enjoy writing about himself in the third person. For more info CLICK HERE!
